His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has announced a major transformation in how the UAE government will operate, revealing that 50 percent of government services, sectors, and operations will be powered by Agentic AI within the next two years. The move, launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to make the UAE the first country in the world to implement AI at this scale across government systems.
This shift means AI will not just assist but actively analyse, make decisions, execute tasks, and continuously improve services in real time. The goal is to create a faster, more efficient, and highly responsive government that puts people first.
The plan includes training all federal employees in artificial intelligence to ensure strong national capabilities. Implementation will be overseen by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with a dedicated taskforce managing execution and progress.
This initiative builds on the UAE’s long journey in digital transformation, from eGovernment to smart services and AI integration. With a clear two-year timeline, the country is setting a global benchmark for innovation, efficiency, and future-ready governance.
