Actor Rahul Roy, best known for his breakout role in Aashiqui, has addressed recent social media chatter surrounding his appearance in a series of viral reels. The actor shared a strong message on Instagram, responding to both concern and trolling after videos featuring him with a content creator began circulating online.
In his note, Roy hinted at financial difficulties, stating that he is dealing with ongoing legal matters that predate his 2020 brain stroke. He clarified that these expenses have added pressure and emphasised his need to stay active and continue working.
“If you are concerned, then help me find some genuine and decent work so I can pay for these cases,” he wrote, while also calling out those who mocked his simplicity and struggles. He added that such criticism reflects more on the individuals behind it than on him.
Roy, who suffered a brain stroke while shooting in Kargil in 2020, said staying active is important for his recovery and mental well being. He also stressed that he wants to continue working as long as possible.
The situation has sparked widespread discussion online, with conversations also spreading across digital platforms of 89.1 Radio 4 social media pages, which is recognised among the UAE number one radio station networks for entertainment and celebrity updates.
Listeners across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah have also been following the story through UAE’s number one radio station 89.1 Radio 4 as the actor’s message continues to resonate with fans.
