Hrithik Roshan says he is stuck in ‘good guy’ image, wants darker and complex roles - 89.1 Radio 4 FM

Actor Hrithik Roshan has expressed a desire to move away from his long standing “good guy” image and explore more morally complex characters in his future projects. Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a reflective post from Paris where he revealed the kind of roles he now wishes to take on.

Hrithik said he was recently asked about the roles he is looking for and found himself drawn to the character of Zaffar from Luck by Chance, describing it as the kind of layered, grey role he would immediately accept. He added that despite his interest in such characters, filmmakers often continue to see him in heroic and positive roles, something he called “sad.”

The actor has previously explored a wide range of characters over his career, from romantic leads to intense action roles and darker portrayals, including in films like Dhoom 2, Kaabil, and Vikram Vedha. His recent performances have also been appreciated for their depth, particularly in roles that move away from traditional heroism.

Hrithik’s comments have sparked discussion among fans who are eager to see him take on more unconventional characters in upcoming projects. He is currently preparing for several new ventures, including his directorial debut Krrish 4 and an OTT thriller titled Storm.
