Dubai tourist visas now issued within 48 hours for international visitors - 89.1 Radio 4 FM

Dubai has introduced a faster tourist visa processing system, allowing international visitors to obtain a single entry visa within 48 working hours, according to the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). In many cases, approvals are being completed even faster, with some visas issued in just two to three hours.

The streamlined service is available for 30 day and 60 day tourist visas and can be applied for through accredited tourism offices. Applicants are required to submit basic documents including a passport copy, a recent photograph, and in some cases a national identity card depending on nationality.

Officials said the move is aimed at making travel to Dubai more convenient and efficient, supporting the emirate’s continued focus on enhancing its digital government services. The faster turnaround is expected to improve the overall visitor experience and encourage more international arrivals.

Tourism representatives highlighted that the simplified process reduces waiting time and helps travellers plan trips with greater flexibility. The initiative also aligns with Dubai’s broader strategy to strengthen its position as a leading global tourism hub by improving accessibility and service efficiency.
