Dubai has climbed to become the world’s fifth most powerful city brand, with a total brand value nearing Dh1 trillion, according to a new study by global consultancy Brand Finance. The report highlighted Digital Dubai as a major force behind the emirate’s global rise.

The study revealed that Digital Dubai contributed approximately Dh31 billion to Dubai’s overall brand value and earned an AA+ rating, placing it among the world’s leading digital government entities.

According to the report, Digital Dubai played a significant role in strengthening the emirate’s City Brand Strength Index, helping Dubai move from seventh to fifth place globally. The city also achieved strong scores in trust and reputation among residents and businesses, reflecting growing confidence in Dubai’s digital ecosystem and quality of life.

Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, said the achievement reflects Dubai’s vision of placing digital transformation at the centre of sustainable development and global competitiveness.

Brand Finance also noted that Dubai’s digital ecosystem has positively influenced innovation, ease of doing business, openness, quality of life, and reduced bureaucracy, reinforcing the emirate’s status as a leading smart city and future-ready global hub.
