Sharjah Municipality has announced that paid parking hours across the emirate will now run from 8am until midnight starting July 1, 2026. The move will apply to Sharjah city, Kalba, Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid.
The new system unifies parking timings across all paid zones, with areas marked by yellow signs now following the same schedule as blue sign zones. Authorities said the decision comes in response to growing urban expansion, tourism activity and increased demand for parking spaces.
Officials added that the extended timings aim to improve parking availability, reduce random parking and increase turnover in busy residential and commercial areas. Seasonal subscription charges will remain unchanged despite the added hours.
Public parking will continue to remain free on Fridays and official holidays, except in designated seven-day paid zones.
