Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is reportedly preparing to move out of his iconic Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra after living there for over five decades, marking the end of an era for one of Mumbai’s most famous celebrity homes.
The actor is said to be shifting to a newly constructed six-storey family residence on Chimbai Road in Bandra West. The property was planned by the Khan family years ago and has now received the necessary approvals for redevelopment and occupancy.
Galaxy Apartments has long been more than just a home for Salman Khan and his family. It became a landmark in Mumbai, symbolising Salim Khan’s journey from struggle to success and later Salman Khan’s rise to superstardom. The modest 1-BHK apartment also became a daily gathering spot for fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the actor at his balcony.
According to reports, the decision to move is primarily driven by the need for enhanced privacy and stronger security arrangements. The new residence is expected to offer more space, better protection, and modern living conditions for the entire family.
Despite the move, Galaxy Apartments will remain an iconic part of Bollywood history and a symbol of the Khan family’s legacy in Indian cinema.
