Ajman has been ranked the world’s safest city in the Numbeo Mid-Year 2026 report, reinforcing the UAE’s strong global reputation for safety and public security.
The report highlights a remarkable showing for the country, with Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah securing the second, third, and fourth positions respectively. Dubai also featured in the global top ten, ranking sixth, while Taipei took fifth place.
Officials attributed Ajman’s top ranking to strong investments in advanced policing, AI-powered surveillance systems, and rapid emergency response infrastructure. The achievement was also linked to community policing efforts, tourist safety initiatives, and smart traffic enforcement systems designed to strengthen public trust and quality of life.
Ajman Police leadership said the recognition aligns with the UAE’s long-term vision of enhancing safety, stability, and livability across all emirates.
