Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are set to come together as a lead pair for the first time in an upcoming untitled situational comedy set in Delhi, directed by Shashie Vermaa.
The film also features Kumud Mishra in a key role and will be produced as a slice-of-life comedy blending humour, emotion, and subtle social commentary. Set against the backdrop of Delhi, the story is expected to capture everyday chaos and relationships with a relatable and grounded tone.
The project is scheduled to go on floors in the second half of 2026, marking a fresh on-screen collaboration for the real-life couple, who previously shared screen space in the Fukrey franchise but never as a romantic lead pair.
Both Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha expressed excitement about the project, saying they were drawn to its writing and the opportunity to explore a new creative dynamic together on screen for the first time.
Director Shashie Vermaa described the film as a story about people, relationships, and how small everyday moments can completely change lives. He also said Delhi itself plays a character in the narrative, adding depth and unpredictability to the storyline.
The film aims to bring together strong performances and a light-hearted yet meaningful take on urban life, with filming expected to begin later in 2026.
