Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will introduce four new public bus routes and modify 13 existing services from July 17 to improve connectivity across the emirate and enhance integration with the Dubai Metro network.
The changes are aimed at providing better links between residential communities, business districts and major transport hubs, while making public transport more efficient based on passenger demand and travel patterns.
Among the new services, Route 35 will connect International City with Dubai Silicon Oasis, operating every 30 minutes during peak hours. Route 85 will provide a direct connection between Al Quoz (Al Khail Gate) and Dubai Internet City Metro Station, with buses arriving every 20 minutes during peak periods.
Two additional services, Routes 37A and 37B, will also connect International City with Dubai Silicon Oasis Lake, offering bi directional services every 30 minutes during peak hours.
Several existing routes have also been revised. Route 27 will now operate via Al Mustaqbal Street, while Routes 36A and 36B will be replaced by the new 37A and 37B services between International City and Dubai Silicon Oasis.
Route 67 will now terminate at Oud Metha Bus Station instead of Al Ghubaiba, providing easier access to the Dubai Metro Green Line. Route 84 will end at InsuranceMarket Bus Stop instead of the Mall of the Emirates, with the new Route 85 offering an alternative connection between Dubai Marina and Al Quoz. Route 88 will also have a shorter alignment ending at ONPASSIVE Metro Bus Stop.
RTA is also expanding several Metro Link services to improve first and last mile connectivity. Route F06 will be extended to Nad Shaba, F36 will serve Al Barsha South 2, F29 will now operate via Umm Al Sheif, and F47 will extend to staff accommodation in Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
To reduce travel times, Routes 96 and X94 will be rerouted via Al Yalayis Street and Jebel Ali, while Route X22 will bypass Business Bay and operate directly to Al Qusais Industrial Area via Sheikh Zayed Road.
The RTA says the network improvements are part of its ongoing strategy to deliver more reliable, efficient and sustainable public transport services for residents and visitors across Dubai.
