Actor and politician Ravi Kishan is enjoying a fresh wave of popularity among Gen Z, thanks to viral memes, social media trends and his devotional rendition of the Lord Shiva bhajan ‘Koteshwarai’.
Speaking during a recent media interaction, Kishan thanked the younger generation for recreating and sharing his bhajan across social media. He said he was amazed by the response and described the love he has received as “historic”, adding that he had never seen anything like it in Instagram’s history.
Kishan also credited Gen Z’s creativity for helping introduce his work and personality to a much wider online audience. He said the younger generation has accepted him as their own and expressed his gratitude for the affection they have shown him.
Fans have even given him humorous titles such as “Lord Ravi”, “God Ravi” and “today’s Osho” as his popularity continues to grow online.
The actor has recently gained attention for his work in Hindi entertainment. He played Inspector Shyam Manohar in the acclaimed 2024 film Laapataa Ladies and has led two seasons of Netflix’s Maamla Legal Hai. He has also appeared in Maa Behen and Dhamaal 4.
