Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the second edition of its Road Safety Film Festival, offering up to Dh300,000 in cash prizes and recognition awards.
The competition will run from August 24 to November 22, 2026, and is open to residents, university students, government entities, private companies and the wider community.
Participants are encouraged to create short films promoting safe driving, following traffic laws and responsible road behaviour.
The festival includes categories for individuals and university students, government and private-sector organisations, as well as community entries featuring family safety stories and experiences of traffic accident victims.
The initiative builds on the success of the 2025 edition, which received more than 100 entries.
Winning films will be featured in RTA’s road safety campaigns, workshops, educational programmes and digital platforms, supporting the authority’s “Zero Fatalities” vision.
