Ajay Devgn is returning as Vijay Salgaonkar in the third instalment of the Hindi Drishyam franchise, and this time, the story will be completely different from the Malayalam version.

Speaking at the trailer launch, Ajay said he wants Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph, who created the original franchise, to watch the Hindi film and share their feedback.

Ajay said making Drishyam 3 was a major challenge because the team did not simply make changes to the Malayalam story. According to him, the Hindi film has a completely different script and storyline.

He also said getting approval from Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph would make him very happy. Mohanlal played Georgekutty in the original Malayalam films.

The actor revealed that the team spent around two and a half years developing the script. Director Abhishek Pathak worked closely with the writers to create a story that could continue from the events of Drishyam 2 while keeping the suspense and twists intact.

Ajay also believes this should be the conclusion of the Hindi franchise and that the story should not be taken further after this film.

Drishyam The Conclusion also stars Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 2, 2026.
