Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced a new AI platform called ‘Data Drive – Clear Guide’ to tackle traffic congestion. The system analyzes real-time traffic data alongside information from the past five years, including road conditions, speeds, and jams. This enables the RTA to make instant adjustments and send notifications to improve traffic flow quickly. Previously, traffic management relied on manual data collection, causing delays. Now, what once took weeks can be done in minutes, helping reduce rush hour gridlocks. The platform also identifies areas needing future improvements. The RTA aims to use this AI technology to enhance traffic, boost Dubai’s digital transformation, and position the city as a global leader in innovation and smart services.
