The Dubai Loop is a futuristic underground transport project being built in partnership between Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Elon Musk’s The Boring Company. It will be a network of tunnels about 17 km long with roughly 11 stations, designed to carry up to 20,000 passengers per hour beneath the city’s busiest areas, easing traffic congestion. Electric vehicles will travel through the tunnel system fast and climate-controlled, offering a new way to move around Dubai in addition to existing transport like the metro. The first phase of the Loop is expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2026.
