Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recorded 8.2 million passengers across public transport and mobility services during the Eid Al Adha holiday from May 25 to May 29, 2026 (1447 AH), highlighting strong travel demand across the city.
The Dubai Metro led the network with 3.3 million riders across its Red and Green lines. Public buses carried 1.73 million passengers, while taxi services, including franchise operators, transported 2.3 million riders. Marine transport services recorded 304,300 users, and shared mobility options, including smart app-based vehicles, hourly rentals, and Bus-On-Demand, accounted for 402,700 rides. The Dubai Tram served 114,300 passengers during the same period.
The RTA said the figures reflect the efficiency and integration of Dubai’s transport network in managing peak holiday mobility. The strong usage across all modes highlights residents’ and visitors’ growing reliance on public and shared transport systems for convenient and sustainable travel within the emirate during festive periods.
