Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has introduced advanced AI powered dashboards at its Bus Operations Control Centre to improve the performance, reliability, and efficiency of public transport services across the emirate.
Developed by the Public Transport Agency in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Centre, the system uses real time data analytics to monitor bus operations and support faster decision making. Built on the RTA’s Dataiku platform, the dashboards can track early departures, anticipate potential trip cancellations, and optimise route planning to ensure smoother operations.
The technology also plays a key role during metro disruptions by helping teams respond quickly and adjust bus services to maintain connectivity for passengers. Fully integrated into daily operations, the system is designed to reduce delays and improve overall commuter experience.
Officials said the initiative supports Dubai’s long term vision of building a smarter and more sustainable transport network powered by innovation and data driven solutions. By improving operational efficiency, the AI dashboards are expected to enhance service reliability and strengthen public confidence in the city’s bus network.
The rollout reflects the growing role of artificial intelligence in shaping urban mobility and supports wider efforts to make public transport more efficient, responsive, and passenger friendly across Dubai.
