Schools across Dubai have started reopening playgrounds and resuming outdoor activities like PE classes and assemblies after receiving approval from Knowledge and Human Development Authority and the Ministry of Education. This comes after a seven week pause due to regional tensions, with students already returning to classrooms from April 20.
From April 27, outdoor PE lessons, break times, assemblies, and school events are being brought back in phases, while co curricular activities will resume from April 29. Schools are following a careful and gradual approach to ensure safety, with clear protocols, safe zones, and emergency plans in place. If any alerts arise, outdoor activities will be paused immediately.
The return is not just about routine but also about student wellbeing. Schools are focusing on helping children reconnect, rebuild confidence, and adjust back to normal school life after the disruption.
