Dubai has reaffirmed its ambition to become the world’s leading hub for artificial intelligence development and deployment, as highlighted by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai. The statement came during a meeting of the Higher Committee for Future Technology Development and the Digital Economy, where the emirate’s long-term technology roadmap was discussed.

Sheikh Hamdan said Dubai is focused on converting emerging opportunities in AI into tangible economic growth, strengthening global competitiveness, and opening new pathways for innovation. He emphasised that the private sector will play a central role in driving this transformation, alongside continued government support and investment.

A key focus of the discussion was agentic AI, with Sheikh Hamdan noting that the next phase of artificial intelligence will go beyond basic tools to systems capable of executing tasks, making decisions, and managing operations more efficiently across industries.

Dubai also aims to attract global talent, leading companies, and high value investments to build a strong and sustainable AI ecosystem. As part of this vision, the emirate is set to further enhance its regulatory framework to speed up adoption while ensuring long term economic value.
