Dubai’s RTA, in collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim Properties, has opened a new 300-metre bridge on Sheikh Zayed Road, providing direct access to Mall of the Emirates from Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali. The single-lane bridge handles 900 vehicles per hour, cutting travel time from 10 minutes to 1. The project also upgraded roads, intersections, pedestrian walkways, cycling tracks, and bus facilities. Coinciding with the mall’s 20th anniversary, Majid Al Futtaim announced a Dh5 billion redevelopment, adding 100 new outlets, a dining district, cultural centre, and health club.
