A fresh update has emerged in the ongoing discussion surrounding Ranveer Singh’s exit from Don 3, with veteran actor and CINTAA president Poonam Dhillon revealing that the actor reportedly offered a Rs 10 crore settlement to resolve the matter.
According to Dhillon, Ranveer Singh had voluntarily proposed the compensation after stepping away from the project and also returned his signing amount. She noted that while the production house did not accept the offer, his gesture reflected professionalism, adding that such actions are not always seen in the industry.
Reports suggest that the production banner, Excel Entertainment, had sought around Rs 45 crore to cover pre production losses following the actor’s departure. Ranveer reportedly exited the project due to creative and script related concerns, which later sparked wider discussions within the industry.
The situation briefly escalated, leading to industry bodies issuing a non cooperation directive. However, the matter has since been resolved after interventions from stakeholders, and the directive was eventually withdrawn.
Dhillon further emphasised that casting changes and project exits are not uncommon in the film industry, but stressed the importance of handling such disagreements in a professional and respectful manner.
The development continues to draw attention within Bollywood circles as Don 3 remains one of the most anticipated upcoming projects.
