Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has spoken out on the ongoing student protests, expressing support for students and their families while describing the alleged examination paper leak as a serious issue.
In a social media post, Salman said he was saddened that what began as a peaceful movement had turned violent and extended his solidarity to those affected.
Calling the paper leak a major concern, the actor praised students for coming together to demand a better education system instead of remaining silent. He also acknowledged the support shown by parents throughout the movement.
Salman described the protests as a courageous and peaceful way to seek change, saying the younger generation's commitment to education would make India proud.
His statement comes after criticism over the silence of several leading Bollywood stars on the issue. While actors including Shabana Azmi, Prakash Raj and Rajkummar Rao had already voiced support for the students, Salman is among the first top-tier Bollywood superstars to publicly address the protests.
With one of the largest fan followings in Indian cinema, Salman's remarks have added significant weight to the national conversation and renewed attention on Bollywood's response to the student movement.
