The UAE Fuel Price Committee has announced updated petrol and diesel prices for May 2026, with new rates taking effect from May 1. The revision reflects ongoing shifts in global oil markets and will impact motorists across the country.

Under the new pricing structure, Super 98 petrol will cost 3.66 dirhams per litre, up from 3.39 dirhams in April. Special 95 has been set at 3.55 dirhams per litre compared to 3.28 last month, while E Plus will now be priced at 3.48 dirhams per litre, rising from 3.20 dirhams. Diesel prices, however, remain unchanged for the month.

Officials said the monthly adjustment is part of the UAE’s standard fuel pricing mechanism, which aligns domestic rates with international oil trends while ensuring transparency in the market.

With fuel costs being a key factor in transport and logistics planning, the announcement is expected to be closely tracked by residents and businesses alike. The news also continues to be widely discussed across media platforms, including FM radio advertising UAE channels and major radio media brands UAE that regularly update audiences on economic developments alongside entertainment and travel information.

Listeners tuning in through 89.1 Radio 4 and other UAE radio listen live platforms often receive real time updates on such key announcements as part of daily news coverage.

Motorists across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah will see the revised fuel prices reflected at stations from the start of the month.
