The UAE considers a proposal for a new federal highway connecting all seven emirates to alleviate traffic, especially during peak times. Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, addressed the Federal National Council, stating that the ministry will assess the need for new roads or additional lanes. Plans include implementing AI-driven traffic monitoring and solutions to ease congestion between Dubai and the Northern Emirates by the second half of 2024. The initiatives aim to enhance traffic flow, backed by thorough studies and collaboration with local municipalities for approvals.
