Ajinkya Rahane has indicated that major changes could be coming for Kolkata Knight Riders after their disappointing run in the Indian Premier League 2026. The team is still without a win and currently sits at the bottom of the points table.
Rahane said that while the bowling unit did well to restrict Chennai Super Kings to 192, the batting unit failed to build momentum. A slow start in the powerplay and difficulty against spin made the chase tougher.
He also admitted that although the team backed a settled playing combination, the lack of results means they now need to rethink their strategy and possibly make changes to the playing eleven.
Despite the losses, Rahane stressed the importance of staying positive and united as a group. With the tournament moving forward, KKR will look to regroup, make smart decisions, and find winning form before it is too late.
