Gulfood 2021, the most competitive global sourcing platform and first in-person F&B event in the past 12 months successfully wrapped up on Thursday, February 25th, 2021 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) . The mega event set the tone for a resurgence of worldwide F&B trade, according to exhibitors at the five-day show.

The show drew some 2,500 companies from 85 countries, from global power brands to innovative sector start-ups, for a unique opportunity to reconnect start 2021 with confidence and conviction following one of the most challenging years ever for the industry.

The extraordinary show saw hundreds of global brands mingle with thousands of visitors with strict COVID safety and social distancing measures in place.

"Consumers in UAE have always been dynamic on purchase decisions. Presently, we have noticed that there has been a substantial shift from in-store to online purchases," said Sankha Biswas, CEO, Nutridor adding that Consumption of dairy products have increased and now milk and milk products are considered as a healthy intake. He further stressed that the category has gained momentum throughout the pandemic.

The 5-day extravaganza saw business thrive across the some 25 halls at the DWTC with buyers and attendees from 156 countries.
